Axie Infinity has announced the launch of the Origins Shop, featuring new cosmetics and starter Axies, Noir and Rouge, available for a limited time at an introductory price. The shop’s debut coincides with the introduction of the Axie Gem Store, where players can purchase gems using various cryptocurrencies. These gems are used for buying special items and consumables in the Origins Shop.
New Starter Axies
The newly introduced starter Axies, Noir and Rouge, are available for 500 gems each, a price set to increase in the coming weeks. They are Aqua starter Axies, specializing in Bubbles and Bubble Bomb compositions. The Origins Shop also offers Upgrade Materials to help players enhance their starters more efficiently.
Cosmetics and Origins Vault
In addition to starter Axies, the shop features a gacha system through which players can win unique cosmetics, including avatars, borders, and stickers. Some of these items are new, while others are favorites from previous releases.
Axie Infinity has also introduced the Origins Vault, which will allocate 90% of the revenue from Gem sales to enhance the Origins platform. The remaining 10% will go to the Axie Community Treasury. The funds will be used for player acquisition, expanding in more countries, strengthening the team, and accelerating the development of new features.
Origins Retro Mode
Additionally, Axie Infinity has brought back a ‘Retro’ game mode under the Arcade section, offering a nostalgic experience with classic game mechanics like Class Advantage, Class Bonus, and Critical Hits. This mode is a nod to the original Axie Classic gameplay.
