Shortly after our recent interview with Founder Luke Barwikowski, play-and-own game Pixels has released fresh developers’ updates for its community members. Unlike the immediate update that focuses on in-game rewards, this update centralizes on user-generated content and leaderboards.
Pixels UGC Tool Introduced
Pixels developers have created a UGC Tool that is accessible via the Seller’s Marketplace in Terra Villa Central. This newly added feature allows players to submit their creations allowing players to build their own world and game mechanics. Notably, UGC will become a core drivel of the $PIXEL token.
Pixel hopes to create a better UGC tool in subsequent releases, to further support players in creating new and game mechanics to engage communities.
How to Use UGC Tool
According to Pixels, all submitted artwork must be of high quality and must conform to the in-game sizes, using a 32 by 32 grid.
Players can submit their generated content through the following steps:

Go to the Custom Decorations tab in the Sell Marketplace Kiosk, and select the “Submit A Custom Decoration” button which leads to a Dashboard

Connect any compatible wallet and log in

Name the content via description and upload the image. The user should describe whether the creation could be walked on or if it is a sprite sheet for an animated object should be stated. If necessary, a collision box should be included.

Creation should be submitted under the ‘View My Decorations’ link.

After approval, a user can mint a minimum of 100 pieces of the object and carry out transactional activities with it.

Users can access all minted objects in their mailbox
New Leaderboard Unveiled
Freshly-designed Leaderboard can be accessed through a button in HUD. Pixel has introduced four new leaderboards namely: most pop berries farmed, most pop berries farmed last 7 days, most farm charms used and most farm charms used last 7 days. In addition, the Head-Up Display has also been revamped, giving it a new attractive look.
