A New Content Creator Of The Year
GAM3S.GG spoke with Cagyjan shortly after he received the 2025 Content Creator of the Year award at the GAM3 Awards, which took place during the YGG Play Summit in Manila. His time in Web3 gaming began during the early Axie Infinity period. He entered crypto in 2017 and shifted toward blockchain games in 2020 when early titles such as Hash Rush, Lost Relics, and Axie introduced player-owned assets and small but active communities.
He said those early experiences proved that Web3 games could build real staying power. “Back then, crypto gaming just meant earning items that other players valued. That was enough to show me there was something here,” he said. This idea continues to guide how he evaluates games, especially around token flow and in-game economies. He emphasized that strong projects understand how incentives interact with gameplay rather than treating tokenomics as a standalone feature.
Building Silly Kitties Over Time
Cagy also spoke about Silly Kitties, where he now serves as co-founder and advisor. The idea did not originate with him. “ KitteyGG pitched me Silly Kitties as a meme token at first,” he said. “But I saw the potential for a cat brand that could go global if it was built slowly and consistently.”
He framed the project as a five- to ten-year plan, grounded in steady development cycles rather than rapid speculation. He highlighted that Web3 brands earn staying power by designing predictable economies, delivering content consistently, and keeping the community involved in each phase of development.
Community, Games, And Creative Work
Much of Cagy’s perspective comes from the communities he has been part of. His time in Axie Infinity showed the impact of active founders and supportive player networks. “The Axie community was always welcoming. That is what kept new players coming back,” he said.
Cagy also noted that Web3 gaming is more flexible than many traditional gamers expect. Some projects use NFTs only for cosmetics, while others build full onchain economies. This variety gives players multiple entry points into digital ownership. “Almost every traditional gamer would support owning the skins they buy or earn,” he said, suggesting Web3 onboarding can be gradual and intuitive.
He encouraged creators to expand beyond X when educating new audiences, and said he would like to see more investment directed toward indie studios rather than oversized AAA budgets. Smaller teams, he said, often produce more original ideas and adapt faster to player feedback.
Creative Work And What Comes Next
Outside of Web3, Cagy plays first-person shooters such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Fortnite, and ARC Raiders. When asked about future collaborations for Silly Kitties, he mentioned his interest in brands that align with creativity, including those he grew up with.
His closing advice to emerging creators focused on authenticity. “It is important to stay true to yourself. If you like a game, say it. If you do not, say it. People eventually trust the voice that stays consistent,” he said.
