Step 1: Sign Up And Install The App

Head to pro.football.fun to play with real money. Complete email verification. On mobile, install Football.Fun as a Progressive Web App (PWA) so you can check squads and trade quickly on matchdays.

Step 2: Deposit USDC And Convert To Gold

On Pro, the first step is to deposit USDC into your in-game wallet on the Base network. Once deposited, your balance shows as Gold, the in-game currency used for everything: buying shares, renewing contracts, and trading.

Without this step, you can’t buy players or enter tournaments.

Step 3: Buy Your First Player Shares

Instead of opening packs (which require Tournament Points later), you’ll begin by buying shares directly from the Transfers page.

Look for:

• Consistent starters in Europe’s top five leagues
• Goalkeepers and defenders with clean sheet potential
• Underpriced players in form but not heavily owned

Click buy, set your slippage tolerance (5–10% recommended for liquid names), and confirm. Shares you purchase go directly into your Active Squad, making them tradable and tournament-eligible.

Step 4: Manage Contracts From The Start

Every new purchase comes with four contracts. Contracts are consumed only if the player steps on the pitch. If contracts reach zero, the player won’t be entered into tournaments until you renew by buying more shares.

Tip: Always keep a buffer of 3–5 contracts on your core players. Running out mid-tournament wastes roster slots.

Step 5: Build Your Active Squad

Your Active Squad is where all tradable, tournament-eligible players live. Aim for a balanced mix across positions:

• At least 1 goalkeeper with steady minutes
• Several defenders and midfielders who play 90 minutes often
• Forwards with consistent goal threat

Start small, then scale your squad as you earn Tournament Points and Skill Points from early results.

Step 6: Enter Tournaments Automatically

With Gold-funded shares in your Active Squad, your players enter tournaments automatically. There’s no manual lineup setting.

Tournaments run:

• Weekend: Friday to Monday
• Midweek: Tuesday to Thursday

Rewards are distributed to the top five forwards, midfielders, and defenders, and the top three goalkeepers.

Rewards are paid in Tournament Points (TP) and Skill Points (SP) which are your first entry point into packs and player development.

Step 7: Recycle Rewards

After each tournament, collect your TP and SP:

• Use TP to open packs and expand your squad
• Use SP to promote Development Squad players into Active
• Cut weak Development players for small TP returns

This recycling loop is where long-term squad growth happens.

Step 8: Trade And Time Snapshots

The snapshot system locks your eligible shares the moment a player steps on the pitch. Rewards for that match are calculated from this snapshot number.

Trading rules to follow:

• Buy before kickoff to lock your snapshot
• Selling shares after kickoff reduces your snapshot count
• Rewards unlock at 4 PM UTC the day after the final match, this is when you should rotate positions

Building Account Reputation unlocks perks and drops. Performing well on the Skill Rating leaderboard gives bonus Skill Points, letting you activate more players without extra Gold.
