Sky Mavis, the team behind Axie Infinity and developer of the Ronin blockchain, has announced the Ronin Forge Innovation Grant, a new $300,000 initiative to support the next wave of breakout consumer dApps building on Ronin.
Selected teams can receive:
- Up to $300k in RON
- Infrastructure support from partners such as Chainlink and Tenderly
- Advisory and growth support from teams behind Axie Infinity, Pixels, and more
Ronin has become a leading consumer chain in Web3 with 800K+ MAU, 31M wallets, and a fast-growing ecosystem of gaming, DeFi, and AI-based applications. Projects have scaled from 5K to 2M DAU, with builders drawn by Ronin’s sticky user base and global reach.
“From our roots, building Axie out of a tiny apartment 7 years ago, we know what lean, scrappy teams need to win,” said Sky Mavis CEO and Co-Founder CEO, Trung Nguyen. “The Forge Innovation Grant gives builders the capital, tools, and network to innovate, experiment and scale, whether they’re building games, gamified DeFi, AI agents, or something the world hasn’t imagined yet. The next generation of fun and accessible crypto apps will be powered by Ronin.”
Ronin builders will gain access to a range of structured support programs aimed at accelerating development and reducing operational overhead. These include grant funding of up to $20,000 in RON, exclusive audit rates through Verichains and Beosin, and free access to Chainstack’s Ronin RPC and archival nodes. Additional benefits span discounted token vesting services via Magna, reduced pricing on Moralis’ Web3 and NFT APIs, and ongoing technical guidance through Chainlink’s Build Program. Projects also receive increased visibility through integrations, network exposure, and co-marketing support across Ronin-aligned channels.
The grant is open to teams with a live product or MVP, a clear go-to-market strategy, and the ability to deploy in 30–60 days. Here are the kinds of consumer apps Sky Mavis plans to support as Ronin evolves:
- Gamified DeFi – yield farming with XP, leveling, or mini-games baked into staking
- Speculative SocialFi – tokenized clout, betting on opinions, or creator PvP
- AI Agents – bots that flip JPEGs, play games onchain, or farm with attitude
- Launchpads – the hype engines behind the next top coins
- GambleFi – high-stakes, fast loops, provably fair
- Risk-Based – dynamic experiences where you can lose big or win bigger
- Phygital & Commerce – token-gated drops, wallet-native loyalty, NFT receipts for physical goods
