Wemade has released new information on G-WEMIX, the core on-chain currency of its upcoming MMORPG, Legend of YMIR (Global), ahead of the game’s international release. The update outlines how the token fits into gameplay and how its value will be maintained through an anchored reserve model.
Inter-Server Token Earning
G-WEMIX will be distributed as gameplay rewards for players engaging in cross-server PvE. The three primary methods are Hall of Gold, a limited-time dungeon; Expedition, a cooperative raid format; and Contested Areas, which feature server-wide competition over high-value bosses.
These activities are designed to be core endgame content, rewarding players who engage in daily and weekly team-based objectives. G-WEMIX becomes a key item to claim from this tier of content and ties directly into the Legend of YMIR economy.
Value Anchored at 1:1
The G-WEMIX token will be exchangeable at a fixed ratio of 1:1 with the main WEMIX token. This peg is designed to prevent volatility, with issuance controlled through a treasury mechanism. Wemade has stated that G-WEMIX will only be minted within the limits of a predefined reserve pool, avoiding over-supply.
To reinforce this structure, the WEMIX Foundation will establish a dedicated reserve worth approximately $7.5 million USD (₩10.2 billion KRW). This fund will be used to stabilize G-WEMIX liquidity during launch and support the game’s wider ecosystem integration.
Positioned for Launch
The G-WEMIX rollout is part of Wemade’s broader push to support token-based economies across its flagship MMORPGs. Earlier this week, the studio also introduced RAVN tokens into Night Crows, creating seasonal gear loops tied to staking and open-market trading via PNIX DEX.
Legend of YMIR’s global launch has yet to be dated but remains one of the most anticipated titles in the WEMIX portfolio. With a defined exchange model, inter-server incentives, and liquidity support in place, G-WEMIX forms a foundational piece of its live economy.
