How to Earn in ChronoForge
Powered by the Abstract network, ChronoForge is available now in early access on the Epic Games Store. The game blends MMO-scale systems with blockchain rewards and introduces real stakes to collective decision-making.
The setting revolves around twelve combat classes facing enemies across time, from prehistoric dinosaurs to futuristic raiders. Raids and mini-games drive progression, with upgrades tied to faction-based airships known as trading companies. These vessels serve as hubs for top-tier crafting and community governance.
The core tension is framed as a global social experiment. Each week, players vote on whether to attack rivals, ban dangerous technology, or activate the ChronoForge, a powerful system that produces the best gear but risks catastrophic consequences for the entire world if overused.
This structure underpins the token economy, where eligibility and progression determine who can access the play-to-earn layer as the Chrono token (CRONO) launches. Here’s how to get started!

Step 1: Secure Eligibility
Access to ChronoForge’s play-to-earn systems requires one of three assets:
- An NFT character
- A Totem NFT obtained from burning a Chrono Horde
- A Founders Edition package
Among these, the Founders Edition currently offers the lowest-cost entry compared to character NFTs on secondary markets.
Step 2: Choose a Purchase Method
The Founders Edition can be obtained through two primary methods:
- Web2 Payments: Available on the ChronoForge website, supporting credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Web3 Payments: Available on app.cronoforge.gg, where ETH can be used after linking an Abstract wallet.

Step 3: Join the Playtest
ChronoForge’s playtest is live ahead of the token launch. The system includes missions and daily check-ins, which are active in limited form until the TGE.
Progress recorded during the playtest will not be wiped entirely. While small rollbacks are possible to fix bugs, most data will carry forward into Season 1.
Step 4: Prepare for the TGE
The token generation event is scheduled in approximately 30 days. Once live, the Chrono token will be introduced as an earnable and stakeable resource.
Key systems launching at TGE include:
- Token earning through gameplay activity
- Staking Chrono for loyalty points
- Leaderboard resets each month for competitive ranking
Step 5: Understand Future Token Utility
Token use cases will expand after the initial launch. A planned update introduces Perade Death, a mechanic where permadeath can be reversed by spending Chrono or other currency.
Additional utilities for Chrono and NFT assets are expected to roll out in subsequent updates, shaping the in-game economy over time.
