Quick Take
- $50k total rewards include $45k in $WYRM plus $5k USDC seeded for Wyrm Tribute payouts.
- 140+ new items, crafting overhaul and full 3v3 ranked PvP arrive with two leagues for all players.
- NFT lotteries, exclusive mints and creator rewards add extra ways to win during the playtest.
Calamity rolls out its biggest playtest yet on March 12 at 1:00 PM UTC with a new game client and servers going offline briefly beforehand to prepare for the $50k event.
The schedule runs in two phases, with PvE from March 12 to 17, followed by ranked 3v3 PvP until March 22, when final snapshots lock in all leaderboard standings.
Over 140 new items join a complete itemization rebuild that introduces fresh gear archetypes, new crafting rules using different materials, enhancement tiers, gem tuning and extra equipment slots so players can farm purposefully and craft stronger builds.
Rewards focus squarely on play-to-earn mechanics with roughly $45,000 in future $WYRM tokens spread across Valor, Conquest, Combatant, Duelist, Guild, Fame and Sponsor leaderboards while the separate Wyrm Tribute system seeds $5,000 USDC that grows from player contributions.
Lotteries give every participant who hits Difficulty Level 5 or higher a shot at three Dragon Rings, nine Factories, exclusive Mythical Beasts cosmetics and 100 RON vouchers with additional draws for Lootbox and Factory buyers.
Top performers can mint performance NFTs, including Icebound Axe for Conquest ranks and Burning Aura for PvP leaders, while creators earn USDC, Dragon Rings and Factory NFTs by submitting guides, clips or memes before March 27.
The event tests the new economy and competitive 3v3 modes ahead of full launch on Steam, Epic, Android and iOS, so players who push leaderboards and buy extra time through Time Scrolls stand to earn back more than they invest through strong performance. For full details on the playtest schedule plus everything involved in the rewards, check the Calamity Wiki.
