YOM, a platform for decentralized cloud gaming, has formed a strategic alliance with Somnia Network. This move combines YOM’s peer-to-peer compute capabilities with Somnia’s high-speed blockchain to support real-time applications.

The collaboration lets YOM deploy its global network of idle GPUs on Somnia’s infrastructure. Somnia, known for handling over 1.57 billion transactions by year’s end, provides the backbone for low-latency operations. Together, they address common issues in Web3 gaming, such as slow load times and high costs.
YOM’s technology enables AAA-level games to reach any device through a distributed edge network. Somnia adds its multi-stream consensus and custom database for quick data processing.
YOM operates as a DePIN project, turning unused computing power into a shared resource for gaming. Backed by investors like Avalanche and Borderless Capital, it has secured partnerships with over 40 studios and covers more than 20 regions worldwide. The platform runs a loyalty program tied to its upcoming $YOM token airdrop.
Somnia launched its mainnet in September 2025 as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 chain. It boasts capabilities for over one million transactions per second with minimal delays. The ecosystem includes DeFi tools, AI integrations, and metaverse elements, with recent expansions adding 14 dApps.
Recently, Somnia highlighted its validator network, including operators like Stakeme, for secure and transparent operations.
