The familiar faces from your keyboard are speeding into blockchain gaming. Emoji company GmbH has teamed up with developer Crypto Blockchain Industries to introduce Marble Dash, an arcade-style racer that puts emoji characters behind the wheel or rather, inside rolling marbles.
Players pick from a lineup of emoji-inspired racers, each with its own vibe, like the cool sunglasses emoji for speed or the fiery one for power bursts. The action unfolds on tracks packed with obstacles, where quick moves and smart upgrades decide the winners. Multiplayer modes let friends compete in casual races or climb leaderboards in ranked events, complete with token rewards for top spots.
At its core, Marble Dash leans on classic marble physics for that addictive, easy-to-learn feel. Customize your racer with boosters and ability cards that tweak stats like speed and durability. As you rack up wins, earn XP and lootboxes to unlock more options. It’s designed for short bursts of play, perfect for mobile, but scales up for deeper sessions on PC.
Built on Immutable zkEVM, the game lets players mint items as NFTs or semi-fungible tokens, trading them on an in-built marketplace. But it keeps things simple: no crypto wallet needed at start, thanks to Immutable Passport. This “play first, own later” setup aims to draw in casual gamers before introducing ownership perks.
Marco Hüsges, CEO of emoji company GmbH, called it a fresh way to bring the brand to life. Fred Chesnais, CBI’s CEO, stressed the focus on fun over tech barriers. With the trailer out and demos on the way via emojimarbledash.com, this could mark a playful entry point for Web3 gaming.
