The portal operates by allowing anyone to securely share tokens and digital collectibles through the generation of a secret code. On the receiving end, the recipient can redeem the gift using the provided code, ensuring a transparent and secure process for Ronin users.
The portal offers a wide range of applications. Some suggested use cases include attaching free NFTs to social posts or advertisements, geocaching activities with digital collectibles like Axies and engaging other Ronin enthusiasts, gifting NFTs at in-person meetups and events, as well as conducting Discord and Twitter giveaways. Using the portal, Ronin plans to hide a Mystic Axie during an event in the Philippines scheduled for November.
How to Access the Ronin Gifting Portal
Players can exclusively access the Ronin Gifting Portal through the official website to ensure the safety of their wallets. To claim a gift, a player must possess either a direct claim link or a unique secret code. They should click on “Claim Your Gift,” connect their Ronin wallet, and confirm the transaction to deposit the sent asset.
Sending a gift requires a player to connect their Ronin wallet, select the NFT type from a drop-down menu, and enter the item ID (if multiple NFTs are involved, each ID must be separated by a comma). Subsequently, the links and codes should be double-checked before proceeding to create gifts and confirm the transaction. Users also have the option to customize the claiming link. First-time gifters need to grant approval via their wallets before participating in the gifting process.
