Quick Take
- Single-player campaign mode live for squad practice
- Free spirits open play to everyone without Aavegotchi ownership
- Progression and tournament systems ready for $GHST rewards soon
Aavegotchi announced the launch of Gotchi Battler Beta earlier today through its Discord channel. The update delivers an auto-battler where players assemble Aavegotchi squads and unleash special moves in battles.
A new single-player campaign mode rolled out alongside the beta, allowing users to train teams through structured missions. The game made free spirits available, so anyone can jump in and experiment without buying or staking an Aavegotchi NFT first.
Progression tracks player advancements across sessions, while built-in tournament systems set the stage for head-to-head events. Aavegotchi indicated $GHST token prizes will enter the mix for upcoming competitions.
Aavegotchi runs as an open-source, community-owned NFT gaming protocol on Base, where ghost-like Aavegotchi avatars blend DeFi staking with gameplay since 2020.
The project recently migrated fully to Base, put Gotchi Guardians on Steam in July 2025, issued a partial treasury distribution on January 7, 2026, and updated Gotchi Guardians to version 1.3.0 last October.
Players accessing the Gotchi Battler Beta at gotchibattler.com now hold a chance to hone strategies before tournaments kick off, with $GHST rewards likely to pull in competitors and test the mode’s balance in live play.
