DeFi Land has launched Alpaca Dash, an idle racing game built on Solana. The official launch kicks off the first Alpaca Season, which includes a prize pool exceeding $10,000 in token rewards. The release follows over a year of closed and public testing and introduces several core systems aimed at establishing the game’s competitive structure.
Each race in Alpaca Dash features up to ten digital alpacas, each represented by an Almighty Alpaca NFT. These NFTs contain performance stats including Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Endurance, and Intelligence, along with hidden genetic traits that interact with specific race conditions such as obstacles, track type, and weather.
Races run in real time using idle mechanics. Outcomes are determined by a combination of base stats, skill loadouts, and race conditions. Entry requires a balance of $DFL tokens, and token rewards are allocated to the top three finishers per race.
The launch introduces a new race track, Frostbite Fields. This winter-themed course includes environmental variables like ice patches and dynamic weather. Race physics have been updated to include refined momentum behavior and more predictable collision handling. Speed curves and skill-based outcomes have also been adjusted to support consistent gameplay logic.
A new skill draft system allows for pre-race planning. Competitors select from five tiers of skills using a 15-point allocation system. Weekly tournaments are now live, with registration windows starting on Monday and races held every Saturday. Prizes include $DFL payouts, cosmetics, and leaderboard-based banners.
A separate lightweight version, Alpaca Dash Lite, has been made available for mobile devices. This version removes 3D graphics but retains access to all race functions, including skill drafting, wallet connection, and reward claims.
