Sky Mavis has announced the arrival of Axie Infinity: Origins Season 5 which comes with a series of features. These features include a new starter Axies, rewards for collectible Axies, and reduced mint cost for Epic and Mystic Runes and Charms.
The Axie Infinity: Origins Season 5 introduces three new starter Axies: Momo, Pomodoro, and Venoki. These new starter Axies are ready for battle but only a few players will be able to unlock and wield them by accomplishing specific starter missions.
Axie Infinity: Origins Season 5 New Starter Axies
The Momo Axie gives players a wide range of skills including Concentrate, Feathery Dart, Brimstone, Big Sister, Lil Bro, Death Shower, Momo’s Begger, and Feathery Earrings.
Pomodoro has skills like Passion, Platypus, Leaf Bug, Lost Dream, Village Hero, Cocoon Whistle, and Pomodoro’s Pan.
Venoki presents players with skills including Funky, Chemical Fang, Venom Hall, Poison Tube, Death Shroom, Centipede, Venoki’s Poison, and Poison Vial.
Origin Season 5 Rewards
In this Season 5 Rare Era, selected collectible axie will receive special gifts to give them strength in battle. The following Axies are eligible to receive rewards: Mystic, Origin, MEO, MEO II, Japanese, Christmas, Shiny, and Summer. Holders who own any of these Axies in a Ronin wallet should check their in-game mail for the rewards. It is pertinent to note that a player will only get rewards based on the rarest Axie owned. Therefore, there will be no multiple rewards for owning multiple collectible Axies. The reward scheme is targeted at experimenting with the recently launch Axie Experience Points (AXP) as players craved to use their favorite Axie in Origins.
Axie Infinity has reupdated its price list for minting Rune and Charm. Players have earlier complained about the peak price; therefore the team has slashed the initial price by 50%. With this in place, players can mint twice as many as before. There are three rarities of Rune and Charm: Rare, Epic, and Mystic. As the rarity ascends, Runes mints for $1, $2.5, and $7.5 while Charm mints for $0.5, $1.25, and $4.5.
In Axie Infinity: Origins Season 5, the team will be distributing 112,000 $AXS across the Leaderboard (~85,000), Fortune Chests(~15,000), Contests (~7,000), and Weekly Missions(~5,000). However, 20% of the total Leaderboard Rewards i.e. 16,994 $AXS will be allocated to the Rare Era.
