Axie Infinity’s Origins Season 6 has been launched, heralded as the most competitive and accessible season to date. The team has implemented updates to the Leaderboard, overhauled the onboarding process, and introduced fresh reward systems. This season is set to conclude on November 22, 2023.
Origins Season 6 Duration
In Origins Season 6, players are faced with the challenge of battling through four distinct Eras: Rare, Epic, Mystic, and Final. The Final Era will witness the Top 8 players clashing for supremacy. Each Era will span 14 days, with the exception of the Mystic Era, which will last for seven days.
Meanwhile, the turn timer duration has been reduced from one minute to 45 seconds, enhancing the pace of battles and rewarding players for quick thinking, concentration, and mastery.
Prize Pool
The prize pool for Axie Infinity Season 6 stands at 75,012 AXS for leaderboard achievers. Additionally, the Top 10,000 players will receive mAXS rewards, while the Top 40,000 players will be granted various other rewards. Furthermore, players can access mAXS through contests and limited-time events.
Rewards System and Improvements
A novel collectible Axie reward system empowers Axie owners to utilize their creatures as the first Web3 native battle pass. Owners of Mystic, Origin, Xmas, Shiny, Japanese, and Meo Axies can earn AXS-infused chests through active participation. To qualify, they must reach at least Tiger rank during the Rare era, Dragon rank during the Epic era, and Challenger rank during the Mystic era.
Players can accrue EXP and reap rewards through the newly introduced Account Level Reward System. Engaging in Origins will enable players to acquire new cosmetics, Moonshards, Homor medals, and starter Axies.
The revamped onboarding experience has addressed the concerns of many players regarding the length of the tutorial video. New players can access a streamlined tutorial featuring the two newly introduced starter Axies: Bing and Xia. Afterward, they can proceed to meet Buba, engage in a brief Origin match, and gain full access to the game. It’s worth noting that the Adventure Mode (PvE) has been removed to ensure access to in-game features, streamlining the account registration process.
Axie Infinity has also introduced a series of balancing updates and new game mechanics.
