The mainnet was named after the starting village in the original MapleStory, restoring the high spirits of fun, discovery, and community.

As announced mid-last year, MapleStory Universe Henesys was built on Avalanche’s high-performance Layer 1 chain subnet and powered by AvaCloud, ensuring an optimised user experience and a scalable ecosystem. This infrastructural build tallies with MapleStory Universe’s long-term vision of achieving a high-performance, community-driven web3 gaming network.

The mainnet has been built to eliminate web3 adoption barriers, specifically wallet setups, gas fees, and access signatures through its Approve Controller and meta-transaction layer. In addition, it allows builders to gain access to powerful tools necessary to build Synergy Apps. Through this, developers can explore the large fan base and deliver richer experiences beyond the walls of MapleStoryN.
The platform integrates Chainlink VRF, a system that guarantees fair and transparent distribution of these assets while maintaining scarcity, generating in-game items that become verifiable NFTs, ensuring actual digital ownership. Henesys will inherit MSU’s ecosystem token as its backbone for intersecting gameplay, user-generated content, DeFi, etc, aiding players’ item utilization across applications.
