Gala Games, a leading blockchain gaming platform, announced that its upcoming playtest for Mirandus will feature substantial rewards for players. The playtest will take place from May 15th at 10am PST to May 29, and will give players a chance to explore the game’s vast and immersive world with the added ability of utilizing some of the game’s NFTs.
How To Play, Earn Rewards and Use In-Game NFTs
To participate in the playtest, players must have a Mirandus Exemplar Character, which needs to be stored in their Gala wallet. Potential participants who don’t own an Exemplar character yet can still purchase one from the Gala Games store or through various third-party markets.
During the playtest, players will be able to earn Materium ($MTRM), a mystical substance that can be used to purchase items, upgrade characters, and even trade on secondary markets. The first player to defeat the formidable goblin boss “Monther” will bag a whopping 250,000 Materium tokens. Furthermore, any player who successfully slays a goblin will be eligible for an equal share of the remaining 750,000 materium pool. Materium is a key component of Mirandus’ gameplay. Players can earn Materium by exploring the secrets of Mirandus, completing quests, and defeating enemies. Materium can be used to purchase items, upgrade characters, and even trade on secondary markets.
Two special NFT game items, the Ring of Discord and Lantern of the Sun, will be useable in the game. These magical artifacts serve as light sources for players, a crucial feature as nights in Mirandus are notably dark. These items not only enhance the gaming experience but also provide strategic advantages for the players. Moreover, Mirandus VOX NFTs also will serve a purpose in this playtest. Players who own a corresponding Exemplar character will gain a 25% in-game health boost.
