Multiplayer adventurous web3 game, Star Atlas has signed a partnership deal with MetaGravity, a physics engine and decentralized compute fabric for scaling the Metaverse. The duo is set to revolutionize players’ gaming experience by introducing a game capable of hosting over 30,000 concurrent players in a single shared environment.
Through the innovative technology of MetaGravity, Star Atlas plans to create a new precedent in the gaming industry by unveiling the world’s first super-massive game. The proposed game will feature an unparalleled number of concurrent players, non-player characters (NPCs), and interactive objects in a single persistent environment. This feature is expected to be a permanent part of the Star Atlas game as the team hints at an upcoming update on the Epic Game Store. Star Atlas’ previous update introduced a new ground racing feature, nearly complete flyable ships, a Testflight feature, a new Photographer Career, and other unexpected additions.
The alliance between Star Atlas and MetaGravity’s team of network engineers and Unreal developers has achieved a significant milestone. This team successfully test-run an environment hosting about 5,000 players. They demonstrated this at the Solana PlayGG Game Festival in San Diego. MetaGravity’s robust, cost-effective infrastructure solution will allow players to integrate with Unreal UE5 and Star Atlas developers to launch a high-performance game on the platform.
