Variance, a free-to-play action roguelite in an anime-inspired Realmverse, has announced its first NFT drop. The mint event for the Variance Genesis NFT is scheduled for end of February. Alongside this release, the Founders Wave—serving as the Open Alpha—will start on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST.

The Founders Wave will introduce several game updates, including modifications to the Leaderboard, the unlocking of new powers, additional action sequences, new abilities, and the introduction of a new enemy. The event will also feature $MAGIC rewards and lootboxes containing talismans that contribute toward the play-to-airdrop token allocation.
Each Variance run is recorded, validated, and eventually stored on chain to enable players to receive rewards through airdropped tokens and token allocations through gameplay.
Variance is currently playable on desktop browsers and will soon launch on platforms such as Epic Games, Steam, and Treasure Launcher, with mobile support coming later.
