Fishing Frenzy has entered its Ignition Phase, marking the start of a pre-launch cycle ahead of the upcoming $FISH token generation event. The event has no fixed end date and will continue until the development team initiates the token’s release.
Ignition Scores are being recorded during this phase based on a combination of gameplay and ecosystem-level contributions. These scores will later convert into $FISH token allocations. All contributions are specific to this phase. Progress or rewards from earlier seasons do not carry over.
The Ignition Phase also introduces Karma, a new Proof of Contribution system that evaluates long-term participation within the ecosystem. This system is expected to remain active after the token’s launch, using initial Ignition Scores as its baseline.
Ignition Scores are calculated based on in-game and off-chain activity. Contribution categories include fishing, cooking, diving, spending Gold, holding Fishing Frenzy NFTs such as Founder’s Passes, referring new users, and publishing content on social platforms.
Scores are updated weekly. The development team may adjust scoring to maintain balance across different types of participation. Higher scores will translate into higher token allocations when $FISH is deployed.
$FISH Will Serve as the Ecosystem’s Utility and Reward Token
The $FISH token will be deployed on Ethereum as an ERC-20C asset. This standard includes programmable protections against automated behavior and provides flexible compatibility for in-game mechanics.
The token is designed as the central utility and rewards mechanism within the Fishing Frenzy ecosystem. All allocations from the Ignition Phase will be based on contribution data logged between the start of the event and the eventual token generation.
No fixed date has been confirmed for the TGE.
NFT Usage, Seasonal Progression, and Live Gameplay
Fishing Frenzy remains active in its live build, supporting gameplay systems including fishing, cooking, and diving. Gold can still be earned and used during this phase. Existing NFT items such as rods, fish, and chests remain tradable on the Ronin Market.
Scoring contributions from gameplay will continue to accumulate alongside community-facing systems such as leaderboard placement and event participation. Seasonal passes, including VIP and Battle Pass formats, are still active and contribute to score evaluation.
Fishing Frenzy launched on the Ronin Network in April 2025 with its Uncharted Waters campaign. Season 2, titled New Horizons, concluded August 21. The Community Clash tournament held during that season awarded 10,000 $RON and exclusive NFTs to the top-ranked teams.
With the seasonal content paused, the development team has transitioned focus toward token mechanics and ecosystem modeling through the Ignition Phase.
