Katana Inu beta is kicking off on June 30 after years in development. The PC-based battle royale game developed by game studio ChainVision, which combines third-person action with NFT functionality across BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Base. According to the official announcement, access will be open to anyone with a PC that meets the minimum system requirements, no whitelist or code needed.
The open beta build will be available for direct download through the project’s beta portal, where the latest trailer has also been released ahead of the launch. The current version supports both guest logins and wallet-based access via MetaMask or WalletConnect. Wallet login enables NFT inventory access and player progression tracking on-chain.
Katana Inu Beta: Gameplay Structure and NFT Functionality
Combat follows a familiar last-player-standing format with a few distinct layers. Each match features fast-paced PvP with a mix of melee, ranged, and ability-based attacks. Character skins and in-game items are minted as NFTs, with minting and leveling mechanics handled through a dedicated in-game marketplace tied to the player’s connected wallet.
The open beta will launch with five characters, a single map, and limited-time game modes rotating weekly. Additional content is scheduled to be added over time, though no post-launch roadmap has been shared yet. In a statement posted to the game’s Discord, the team confirmed that player feedback during beta will directly influence balancing decisions and NFT utility moving forward.

Katana Inu has been in development for over three years, according to official posts from the team. Blockchain implementation focuses on verifiable ownership and item scarcity rather than altering core gameplay dynamics. The beta is being treated as a live environment, with most progression expected to carry over into future versions, though specific resets may occur based on major system changes.
$KATA, the game’s native token, is live across BSC, Ethereum, and Base, and is used to facilitate transactions within the in-game economy. The token can be used for NFT minting, upgrades, and other marketplace interactions. Holding $KATA is not required for open beta access.
